Mindful Holidays

Welcome!

Thank you for joining Mindful Holidays, I’m so happy you’re here! This five day program is designed to help you stay grounded and balanced amidst the celebratory chaos! Enjoy some of my favourite recipes, journal prompts, meditation and yoga videos to stay healthy and feel good.

Monday

Welcome to your first day of your mindful holidays. Let’s begin by grounding ourselves with this 2 minute meditation. Find a quiet space to sit comfortably and follow along with this video.

Next, use a journal or notebook to consider today’s journal prompts. Try not to check your phone or engage in distractions.

The meditation helps to clear your mind making it easier to journal your thoughts.

.

Welcome to the second day of your mindful holidays.

Getting your greens on the go is easy with my simple smoothie recipe. Consider the ingredients as you add them to the blender. Think of how they’ll energize and nourish your body. Chewing the toppings stimulates digestion, so try taking those first sips slowly and savour all the flavours. Give yourself enough time to enjoy this morning smoothie mindfully. You’ll feel more relaxed as you drink and your gut will thank you!

Tuesday

Wednesday

Welcome to the third day of your mindful holidays.

I find restorative yoga so relaxing - it always helps me feel less stressed and more connected. This seqence uses yoga props - a bolster and two blocks. If you don’t have props you can try using a couch cushion or sturdy pillows. You can even build the final shape on your bed by propping yourself up with multiple pillows to get the correct angle.

Make sure you have your notebook on hand once you’ve finished following along with the video. Give yourself some time to move into the journalling exercise and follow the prompts.

Thursday

Welcome to the fourth day of your mindful holidays.

This is one of my favourite recipes to make in a pinch. I almost always have all these ingredients on hand and it only takes moments to prepare.

Chia pudding is healthy and nourishing. It’s a great way to start your day feeling good, and since it’s made in a jar with a lid you can bring it with you for a balanced breakfast on-the-go!

I usually make this for my son’s breakfast and I like to think of how he’ll enjoy it as I mix the ingredients together. Whether you make this chia pudding recipe for yourself or someone else, do so with the intention to nourish. As you stir think about the joy this sweet little pudding will bring.

Friday

You made it! This is the fifth and final day of your mindful holidays challenge.

Find a quiet space to enjoy this five minute stress relieving meditation. Feel any tension in your body melting away as you follow along with this video.

Keep your notebook close by and transition straight into the journal prompts once you finish the meditation.

Enjoy your holidays and feel good! Remember you can take a mindful moment anytime you need to feel grounded.
